More about Eric "Rick":"Born in Sarasota, FL; lived in Tallahassee, FL to age 6; from 6-17 lived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; Amman, Jordan; Benghazi, Libya; Amman (again); Kabul, Afghanistan; ages 17-19 attended Georgia Tech, living in Stone Mtn, GA; ages 19-22 served in USMC,served in Viet Nam and married first wife, with one wonderful stepdaughter (Danielle) and children (Jason and Candace); spent next 5 years attending Tech, Augusta College (pre-med), and finally earning BBA at Georgia State; worked in sales from '74 to '81, remarrying in '80, then attended OCS to earn a commission in the Navy, serving in various positions for 8 years at sea, and earning my MS at the Naval Postgraduate School; three wonderful children came shortly after my commissioning: Sarah, in '82, Jordan in '83, and lauren in '84. sion and served in the Naval Reserve from 1992-1998. I went to work for the American Red Cross, Plasma Operations, as a sales rep based in Atlanta, and was promoted a year later as Western Region Manager, based in Orange County, CA. I was transferred back to Atlanta as Eastern Regional Director when my second wife succumbed to breast cancer. The next year I married my current bride, and gained another wonderful stepdaughter in the bargain: Samantha. We subsequently moved to the Tampa Bay area, and I retired from the Red Cross in 2002. We love retirement, and all our daughters are married - one son, Jordan, is holding out for someone who truly deserves him! - with 5 beautiful/handsome grandchildren: Cole and Chloe, Jason and his wife's Kim's young'uns; Anthony, Candace and John's son; and Natalie, Samantha and Justin's daughter. Two of our sons-in-law, Justin and Phil, are serving our country in the Navy: Phil on the USS George H.W. Bush (CVN77), and Justin on the USS Admiral Farragut (DDG99). Jason is a successful electrical engineer, and his wife, Kim, is an entrepeneur as well as a stay-at-home Mom. Candace is in the insurance industry in Hartford, CT, and Sarah and her husband, Aaron, work at Ft. Lewis in Washington State. Jordan is in the food service industry in Alpharetta, GA. Danielle and her husband, Jon, live in Oklahoma with Hannah.".
